Is love truly stronger than death?

When a woman refuses to die and leave the man she loves, a cadre of Reapers, Death’s Emissaries, find themselves trapped on earth, bound to ground, while she tries to get back to her lover.

But the Reapers and the woman soon learn they are pawns in a much larger game as an ancient creature schemes to sever the connection between Life and Death.

As human beings stop dying, the Reapers discover they have only three days to save the world. And themselves. Should they lose the battle, they face non-existence, a living death—leaving mankind to a hell on earth where no one ever dies.
